Hi I've just upgraded my broadband to the fastest speed. I've received a new Ethernet cable through the post but not a new router people I know have new boxes with lots more lights on and I wondered if it's brought with the engineer or if it should be delivered beforehand?

Re: What to expect when upgrading broadband
The standard router for Ultrafast is the SR203 which is the black one that stands upright.
You'll only get the newer white Sky Max router if you've added Sky Max to your order.

Re: What to expect when upgrading broadband
The ethernet cable is the 'conversion kit' which permits the connection of the WAN ethernet port on a Sky Broadband Hub to an ethernet port on an ONT (Optical Network Terminal, aka 'fibre modem')
Other ISPs may ship routers with 'lots more lights' but a Sky Hub in use with FTTP has four. There are some more on the ONT if that helps: this is fitted as part of the optical cable installation and not sent in advance.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
