I have Sky Fibre and get 500 mbps. I have an EV charger which is situated in the garage and gets a poor signal. I was thinking of getting a booster which will deal with 500 mbps but do not want to spend £90:for a Sky Booster. Has anyone got a similar problem and has a cheaper solution that works?

1) boosters need to receive a decent wifi signal to boost so if using one it will need to be in your house and if the garage is distant thecsignal from the booster may not be any stronger after passing through your home's and garage's external walls. Placing the booster on a window ledge can help here.
2) third party booster signals may interfere with your Sky hub's wifi so you may have to ensure the booster uses a different 2.4GHz channel.

@billbir Some EV chargers like the models from Zappi have a built in Ethernet
port (RJ45 socket),which you can use instead of the wireless connection, for when the wireless is affected by things like thick walls & their construction, other electronic devices affecting the signal, & even lumps of metal like freezers, washing machine, etc.
