Weak wifi signal in some rooms

Just got my fttp and all is well re speed but range in far rooms isn't sufficient and can't get connected there. I know there's the Sky wal to wall wifi guarantee which is not very useful as money back won't solve the issue. In the past, you offered boosters - do you still ship these to customers in need?

@PaulB73  If you have broadband boost you can ask Sky to send you out a booster, but they would need to go through some troubleshooting with you before this happens. Just dial 150 on your landline and listen through the voice prompts.

Re: Weak wifi signal in some rooms

No, no broadband boost or home phone. I'll try to hit them up on live chat instead.

Thanks

You are correct: 'Wall to Wall WiFi' is essentially a sales lead generator for 'Broadband Boost'.

Sky, like other ISPs, does not supply boosters on a baseline broadband subscription.

For FTTP (as long as the household does not use Sky Q television) the add-on product is the new Sky WiFi Max service.

@PaulB73

The Max Hub uses mesh technology from Plume, and the pods are straight Plume hardware, all WiFi 6 with a 'smart' cloud controller.  Sky will apparently loan up to three pods.

The Sky Q Hub, Sky Broadband Hub, Sky wireless boosters and Sky Q television boxes also form a mesh, but based on much older technology: this is why the Max Hub is currently incompatible with Q television.
