Weak poor wifi connection

Can't connect items in part of the house to the 'new' max hub router. Never more than 2 lines showing on iPhone and none in part of house. Tired of phoning to complain that either phones not connecting or TV not connecting or WiFi not stable on my connections. Help. I was told when I signed up for this new 24 month deal that the new router would be able to connect everywhere, even hard to access areas. It doesn't and the old router was more stable and had better access.
