ive moved to a new house and changing broadband to sky. The previous owners left their router behind. Am I able to use their old sky one until the full fibre gets installed.

I highly doubt it because I would assume the previous owners have cancelled/moved their service so there wont be any active connection on the line.

Perhaps also be aware that where a departing resident has inadvertently failed to cancel a broadband service, it might conceivably be considered an offence for the next resident to use it because such use would by definition be 'unauthorised'.
