Upgrade to FTTP
I have been trying for weeks to upgrade to FTTP broadband now that it is available at my location. Sky keep telling me that it is 'not available' at my location, however, when I set myself up as a 'new customer' who is moving to the location, it will allow me to purchase FTTP. I have phoned multiple times to no avail. I have been in to two different stores to double check it is available to a new customer and they confirmed it is. Bit baffled as to why it is available to a new customer but not and existing one.
Has anyone else had this issue and if so, how did you get it resolved?
Thank you.

Re: Upgrade to FTTP
Yes that sounds correct.
I know it is already a form of fibre through the copper cables but would ideally like to get FTTP if possible.
Thanks

Re: Upgrade to FTTP
This has been discussed with and confirmed by community managerrt as not easily acheivable without losing broadband for 2 weeks

Thank you.
Finding the full experience a bit ridiculous to be honest. So only realistic option is to either cancel and join again as a new customer or go elsewhere.

That is an option. Let another isp do the install and cancel with 30 day cooling off and switch back to sky

Re: Upgrade to FTTP
If my partner was to place an order as a new customer to take over the line (as if she was moving in and I was moving out) would this work? Or would I need to cancel first?
Thanks

Re: Upgrade to FTTP
The way i see it you would need to cancel fhrst and then they would place an order which take 2 weeks for openreach to complete
