Upgrade my rooter

My rooter is very old and I've had problems for a long time with it, it keeps dipping in signal and can be very weak. I know an open reach engineer who has said that I need an up to date as this one is about 10 years old and it may sort the issue, I have tried boosters and nothing has changed
