Update to router on 30/09/2022?

On 30/09/2022 my wireless doorbell and my wireless cat feeder AND my nas stopped connecting.

 

was there an update?

 

my current router firmware is 7.02.0201.R

@TrisCambThere has been no router update. Same firmware as I have at present and have had for a good period of time.

@TrisCamb most likely cause can be interference on the 2.4GHz band from a neighbour's network if all 3 of those devices only support that band. Reboot the hub as that should cause it to find a better channel.

ah but the NAS is wired in.

 

I think its the DNS server to be honest.  will fiddle with that.

@TrisCamb what web page are you referring to? You cannot change the DNS settings on a Sky hub they are preset to Sky's DNS. If you want devices to use a different DNS service you need to do that within their local netwrking settings.

 

Sky's DNS is run via a large number of gateway servers these can become slow the workround is to power down the hub for a few minutes shich normally gets you a new Public IP address and a connection to a different server that works normally.

I meant DNS then found couldn't change it.

 

tried forward some ports but that only works on chrome based browsers sadly.
