Unreliable and unstable connection
Since the last two days (coincidentally when the Vodafone outage hapenned) there ha e been problems with connecting to certain websites and services over my Skt Broadband fibre connection. So, e.g., Netflix didn't work but then a couple of hours later it did, but Prime.Video didn't work and then it did. Similar problems with Hive heating system and smart switches. Internet itself is up, and the underlying fibre connection is stable and 300mbps. The only thing I can think of is some issue either with Sky's DNS or routing issue, possibly to content delivery networks. I don't particularly want to spend half an hour on the phone speaking to a call centre to be told to "turn my WiFi off and then back on and clear windows cache and factory reset phone" as they are obviously not the issue (even though they are the script the call centre tech support read out). A speed test shows the connection working, but for example yesterday I was looking at a website www.bailiii.org and it just wouldn't load. I hotspotted to my mobile connection and it loaded instantly. Today the same website does load. It's particularly irritating with the TV apps through my Smart TV.

I'm experiencing the same. Terrible scripted conversation this evening followed by a fairly reassuring one with another agent. Advised that it is outside and Openreach will be with me in 24 -48 hours. If this continues beyond this I will have to switch to what does work. Smoothly.
