Unable to watch firestick

I have recently upgraded my WiFi broadband package and have WiFi Max. The white hub. All was working great but now I'm unable to stream shows on my firestick. Devices are connected fine and work ok but I can't watch any of my shows as they're all on my firestick. Can someone please help?

@Kayleigh53 not 100% certain of your problem but ine common issue which affects Firesticks is tgst they are very smal and often hidden behind TVs they cant get a good connection to your hub. The snswer is often to buy a short HDMI extention cable so the streamer is not behind the TV whose metal chassis blocks the WiFi signal.

@Kayleigh53 Are the shows downloaded on to the firestick or are they streamed via an app? If it's via an app then which app or apps is it?

Re: Unable to watch firestick

Thank you for your reply, I already have this extension cable. The shows open on the app, it's when I press play nothing happens. I use the firestick to watch all tv so I'm puzzled at what's happening. I've turned the router off and on again and still have the same issue? It's strange.

Re: Unable to watch firestick

Thanks for your reply. They are played via an app. I.e Netflix etc. the apps load and I can see which titles to select. It's when I press play nothing happens.
