Ultra fast rubbish
I’ve recently upgraded to ultra fast broadband, with promises from SKY that you’ll be able to use it from the bottom of your garden! This is rubbish I can’t connect from outside my back door It wasn’t that great before, but I’m certain it’s worse now

Re: Ultra fast rubbish
@sprowi make a formal complaint if a member of Sky staff made that promise as no ISP I am aware of promises wifi coverage outside the home. In fact if you read the small print the guarantees on WiFi coverage inside your house are very limited. Sky record all calls so can find out exactly what was said if bought over the phone How to make a Sky complaint | Sky Help | Sky.com
Increasing to the fastest possible full fibre connection to the hub does not mean WiFi spedds in your home will increase as those often depend on the layout and type of construction of your home. To get fast WiFi inside your home often requires additional kit either borrowed as part of an add-on from Sky or from a third party.

I'm not aware that's used in Sky advertising: it was BT/EE who were spanked by the Advertising Standards Authority a few years ago for making similar unfounded claims.
As @Chrisee indicates, Sky specifically excludes external buildings and spaces in the written terms of its various 'WiFi Guarantees'

It's also important to understand that with WiFi, speed and range are not proportionally linked: physics dictates that the faster 5Ghz signal is less good at penetrating building fabric (including external walls) and so less likely to reach 'the bottom of your garden' irrespective of broadband speed delivered to the router.
