Tp link

Hi just me or silly question I have computer in back room connected by a sky access box via a tp link unmanaged switch speed is 75 d and 80 u wifi 370 d 106 u just need everything connected lot easier

@stringy66 connecting by ethernet via what I presume is a Sky booster is pretty pointless unless the device doesnt have WiFi capability. The speed can only ever be roughly 50% of the speed the booster connects to the hub. Boosters are always best positioned no more than halfway between the hub and where you need the extra WIFi signal. While some boosters can be used a wifi to Ethernet bridges that is not what they are designed to do. Far more effective is to use them as an Ethernet to. WiFi bridge ie use a cable between the hub to the booster forvits backhaul connection..

 

If you need faster Ethernet in that area and a direct cable from the hub to your switch isn't possible look into buying a powerline networking kit which uses your home's mains wiring to carry the signal.

Yes already got tp link av 1000 one connection to hub other supplies the access point outside just unplugged the ethernet on wifi now faster so have to stay like that thanks for replying
