Tp link extender won’t connect to my router

I've recently joined sky broadband but don't have WiFi all around the house so bought a to link extender to boost the signal.  It won't link to my router.  Any suggestions as to why

@CTA Which Sky hub do you have and what model TP-Link extender do you have.
