You should have 4 weeks from the date Sky fomally tell you of the increase to switch to a cheaper service if you can find one with no penalty.

The issue I have with Sky is that they don't really have much care for their customers.
Telling us the costs are going up & if you don't like it find someone else is I think not really what people want to hear.
A more sensible approach would be to ask you to contact them and maybe we can find a middle ground to keep your present payment or even to reduce it. Maybe less internet speed etc.
The only reason I stick with Sky broadband is because I get a steady internet connecion, but I cannot afford Sky TV it's just too expensive.
I have been with Sky since the beginning.
