Hi all
ive got a stable sky broadband connection (80MB FIBRE) and ive been using a third party router ASUS DSL-AX82U for the past 2 years with no real issues. Recently ive been getting speed flutations and instability which is normally fixed by a restart until another 2-3 days. I have even replaced the router with an identical replacement however same issues are occuring.
Sky have checked my line and ive had no issues with the sky routers which means something is up with the settings in the DSL-AX82U. Has sky changed any recent settings or anything? ive got default settings on my router and have not changed anything

The community really need to see the Sky Hub router stats. But from what I can see of the Asus router stats the speed is pegged at 60Mbps and the noise margin is raised at 10.4dB indicating a likely fault on the broadband line.
All the parameters for the VDSL2 line on the Asus router are correct.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreDoes look like you've got a line fault on there. However if 60mbps is still above the minimum guarantee Sky gave you when you took out the contract that could be why they are saying there is nothing wrong

@SpoilerN9,Also using a DSL-AX82U,usually rock solid connection, definitely a line fault,it's identical to the line fault I've just had, speed up & down, frequent dropped connections, the Downstream Noise was 13dB, now back down to it's usual 4.4dB. Sky couldn't find a fault, but credit to Sky, they still arranged an engineer to visit, he came & ran tests found several faults almost immediately.
