Someone jusy installed sky and set up hub. Ive just cehcked and we havent been given the sky gigafast hub, we've been given skymax. We are on sky gigafast plan

The sky max hub is the correct hub for openreach installation. The next one up is only for 2.5 and 5Gbps city fibre connections

As @cookiemonsteruk indicates, 'Gigafast' is not 'Gigafast+'

The latter is the branding for 2.5Gbs and 5Gbs Sky Broadband delivered over a CityFibre circuit, which is capable of speeds far higher than any currently available on the national Openreach network.

Gigafast is 1000Mbs over Openreach, and uses either a Max Hub or Sky Broadband Hub.
