Termination charge

My contract ends at the end of the month and I will change my broadband supplier. Why do I have to pay termination charge if I dont cancel my contract before it ends????

@Kamila3

You shouldn't have to pay a termination charge if you are out of contract so have you been told you do have to ?

14 days notice is required to cancel your broadband/talk account.

Yeah, I got an email saying 'im sorry youre leaving' bla bla bla but you will be charged £6.25. I know its not that much but still. My contract ends at 30th and ive got new broadband from 31st so Im just wondering why.

And I told them about not renewing my contract more than 14 days before.

All you can do is to call Sky about this to see what they say as there should be no charge if you are out of contract.
