Telepgragh Pole Knocked Down

Hi Community,

We had a telegraph pole beside our house knocked down by storm Darragh so without broadband since the 7th December, the service offered by Sky has been absolutely horrible. We also have both our phone contracts with Sky and were relying on broadband to do WiFi calling as the signal is so bad (believe they are using Vodafone's network). Needless to say, when the contract is up it will definitely be cancelled!

Openreach will be responsible for carrying out the repairs and with those two storms a few weeks apart and with the Christmas break I suspect that they will be very busy.

You would qualify for compensation credit when your line is working again as per this:

@PatrickW24 Sky mobile uses the O2 network not Vodafone. Unfortunately there is nothing Sky can do to get the pole replaced and you would be in the same position with any other ISP using Openreach. Sky can only tell you what Openreach tells them which is often just a date for the next update.

@PatrickW24

Is the pole replacement likely to need a full or partial road closure? If so then put your postcode in here, change the timescale to Three Months & see if the works are scheduled.
