@Skull+Treaty @cookiemonsteruk Are you familiar with Netgear firmware?

"meaning piggybacking on the DHCPv6 prefix delegation...if lucky enough to be on part of the Openreach exchange that supports it."
The problem with this is that the IPv4 and IPv6 leases drift apart in time (on FTTP anyway) and eventually the IPv4 lease fails to renew. I've watched it happen on a Mikrotik CCR1009-7G-1C and really the only way of keeping both leases consistently within 20-30 seconds of each other is to use Opt61 on both stacks. Do that and there's no drift.
It should be noted that the Sky SR203 suffers from the same problem on FTTP - occurs about every 8-9 weeks and a reboot of the router is the only way to restore sanity.
Sky REALLY need to bin Opt61, its more trouble than its worth these days. A simple IPoE connection would suffice.....

@jamesn123 yes I struggling with the price range and features. Here https://kb.netgear.com/000062426/Which-NETGEAR-routers-support-DHCP-option-60-and-61 suggests other RAX versions the option. I think the article predates the router I've suggested so it may well do so...

@jamesn123 placed an order for the netgear, delivery tomorrow. I'll try it it AP mode first before going down the replacement modem path. Fingers crossed I'll not have the same challenges the Asus had...

@jamesn123 Hi James, unfortunately it looks like that's another router going back. Same issues with the CCTV, although accessible to view video they no longer send notifications, and Sky justs reconnected then disconnects all of the time. Just like the Asus had.
Yet with the Sky Hub everything is perfectly stable..

I guess that the CCTV camera's themselves do not like going through an AP so I am wondering if I should open a port they use in the Sky hub's services settings, or enable UPnP within the camera's network settings itself?

So after setting up the Netgear RAX50 in AP mode I discovered that our SkyQ still had connection issues and that my CCTV camera's were again unable to sent notification emails and be accessed offsite. So then I decided to purchase a TP-Link TD W9970 and use that with the RAX in router mode.
Only then finding out the RAX50 does NOT have option61, despite the RAX40 & 80 having it.
Now returning the Netgear and will rethink a suitable, and similar, router that will work with the TP-Link modem.

Have a Netgear RAX70 arriving today, have read through the manual and it references Option 60 & 61 so this one should function with the TP-Link modem..

@TomThumb5ive @jamesn123 Seems that all is good so far, setting it up was simple enough, SkyQ mainbox and miniboxes all connected and the CCTV camera's are also behaving themselves.
Fingers all crossed it lasts...
