Switchover from Virgin

SKY broadband installed yesterday, as per plan, and seems to be working fine. My question is how long does it usually take for Virgin to disconnect the old broadband. It is still running and I don't want to be paying twice. Do I have to do anything or is this now a Sky responsibility?
