Switching to EE BT

Hi,

We've started the process to switch from sky broadband to EE/ BT. I had an email advising it would be £55 to switch.
When do I pay this & has the process of switching over started?
thank you

Holly

@HollySingleton if you are leaving while still in a fixed contract period Sky will charge you see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/charges-for-ending-your-sky-contract-early

Sky will normally take these fees using the direct debit arrangement. Final charges are calculated after you leave and will include fees if you fail to return any equipment they ask for. Some ISPs including Sky themselves will make a contribution for cancellation fees for customers joining them so check if EE do and how to claim.
