Switch to Sky did not cancel my previous provider service

Hello there,

Hope all good.

I am in trouble with my previous broadband provider. I have switched from HyperOptic to Sky and HyperOptic did not confirm One Touch Switch process and they are charging me. Still they say my service is active with them. Could you please sort this out as soon as possible?

Additionally, since it is not my fault, please let me know who is going to pay the extra costs since these switch processes did not happen on time.

Regards

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more

@Mataksim

This is a community where customers help each other so you are not talking to Sky.

If the service at your previous supplier was not cancelled then you will need to do this yourself to get is sorted. Finding out to bame is going to be trickier as the chances are they will both blame each other.

Re: Switch to Sky did not cancel my previous provider service

@Mataksim Know it's a bit after the fact, but as soon as sky confirms your order, you should also be looking out for the other ISP confirming to you also that sky are going to be taking over, not sure if Hyperoptic as an altnet are part off the OTS process so have a look or try to find out, with the process it's just not 100% working as yet and the company running the OTS are aware off this also! Good luck getting either one to fess up but do keep the Forum updated to any findings!
