Speed

I can't upload an email this morning, I have the 500 package but checking the sky app would suggest that my speed is at the appropriate 490s . But when I do an internet speed check they all come back at 289 and 20/30s upload. I'm literally sitting beside the hub, and I'm the only one in the house. How can my emails not upload. And I have close all open pages on my iPhone

@Lil2run the guaranteed speed is to the hub not to your devices. The 500Mb/s product has an upload speed around 70Mb/s which is not guaranteed as such unlike the download speed again however these speeds are frequently lower at the device due to the wifi signal in your home which is affected bybthe layout if your home and how it is built.

Poor WiFi coverage is probably the most common question we get in the forum. In many homes a single Sky hub cannot provide a usable wifi signal in every room due to the layout and type of construction of the property especially in older homes. Assuming the hub is in the best possible position which is out in the open on a surfsce then the only answer is additional wifi sources.

Your choice.is to either buy Sky's add-on WiFi Max bundle which can supply up to 3 extenders see https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-wifi-max or buy your own wifi system and use that instead of the Sky hub's WiFi.

Re: Speed

Hi, thanks for replying, I have the add on max, I should also mention I'm in a small 2 bedroom bungalow, I was previously on the ultrafast and I found this better,
