Sold a pup.

l wanted Superfast broadband... somehow I ended up with Now.. It is completly unusable.  The upload speed is throttled back to less than the beat of a dead pigeons wings. Cant sync with  cloud files, Ring, video conferencing is impossible, and Circle of Death on streaming regularly as sync is delayed.   Yt none of this is on there website when you compare products. They only reveal that in your documents. When I tol them about the speed issues, THEY SENT OUT AN ENGINEER!   I've been circumnavigating the issue by regularly rebooting to beat the cap. But looks like that no longer works.   Pity really we get fibre in a few weeks. If only there was an easy way to contact this sham of a company!

The symptoms suggest you are on a degraded length of copper from the local fibre cabinet, which is not something that Sky or any other Openreach ISP can resolve.

Re: Sold a pup.

No its active clamping... I used to get around it by rebooting the sky modem, and it would go back up to 5MB. Then after a day it would be back to  170kb/s.  That no longer works, making me even more suspicious.  So I know 5MB/s is acheivable.
