Slow speeds on devices

I have just switched to sky stream from Virgin Media and whilst I like the TV aspect the wifi connection speeds to my devices are so slow that the page doesn't always load. I am considering cancelling my sky wifi and reinstating my VM wifi, is this possible and will Sky stream run ok on VM. Broadband speeds say that there isn't a problem and the TV works ok with no issues.

Sky stream will indeed work over Virgin broadband.
