Slow WiFi through games console in garage

we have refurbished the garage so it is a proper room it is connected to the house through the kitchen the console is about 20 m away from the router and passes through two walls a booster has been plugged in so it now only has to go through one wall and 10m it is impossible to play games or watch tv through it at present in the past it has been manageable but the speed has recently dropped
