Slow Broadband in different room
I have Sky Broadband Ultrafast Plus so should be getting speeds of up to 500mbps. This is true, most of the time in the room where my router is, but where my home office is set up I generally only get between 20 and 40 mbps, sometimes a little bit more. With regular video calls and use of sharepoint for uploading and dowloading files,I need the faster speed. Worse at the moment as the kids are off school, so have to get them to turn their tablets off when it's an important call!
There's no direct line of sight to the router, but the walls are thin (Stramit - which is bascially straw and plasterboard) and it's only about 15m straight line distance.
Is there anything I can do to improve this? The router isn't in the best position as it's next to the TV, but that's where the connection was put in by Sky, so not sure what I can do about that.

Re: Slow Broadband in different room
For a home office, the best solution is ethernet. However that may not be practical so I would recommend powerline adapters.
