Skymax Pod

My Skymax Pod has never worked satisfactorily and now won't connect to the hub at all. I've tried all the ai help tips to no avail and now would really like to book an engineer, trouble is, I can't find any facility for doing this, I just seem to be going round and round in circles. Does anyone have any tips as to how i could do this?

Re: Skymax Pod

@Col38 If it's part off your package to get an Engineer from sky, just call them and arrange, dial 150 from your landline and from 8am to 8pm the phones are open!

Re: Skymax Pod

Thanks Jim. Unfortunately I don't have a landline, haven't had one for about 10 years! I can't find an alternative number to call direct. I'm getting hoarse from shouting at ai chat bots!!!!!

Re: Skymax Pod

@Col38 The fact you have not connected a landline phone is up to you but you do have talk, every sky system has, see post 4 on the link below, call us and you will see the number, write it down you will have it forever, open till 8pm so not much time left! Few questions asked on the IVR no way past that, fight the bot, pass the security and hang in there to speak with an agent!

Wifi max issues

Sadly just another bot answer. Go through the same automated checks but absolutely nothing about the WiFi max pod and no option to progress.

@Col38  Your post has been moved from a Home Move topic as your query doesn't seem to tbe related to a home move?

You also need to provide m,ore info on what exactly your trying to do

Re: Moving Home

I'm trying to find a way of speaking to a person who can book me an engineer's visit.

I moved to Sky broadband a couple of months ago and opted for WiFi Max to hopefully eliminate the few spots of poor coverage. Whilst the hub works fine the pod not so. The pod now refuses to connect to the hub.

Part of the attraction of Max was the engineer backup, the problem is there seems to be no way of reporting my issue and no way of booking an engineer.

All the automated checks show bb, router and WiFi all fine, which it is, but doesn't mention the pod!!
Im beginning to wish I'd stayed with Plusnet.

Re: Moving Home

@GD1 OP has got multiple post's going on, have answered most on the other one!👍

@Col38 If you can stick to the one posting, it's easier to keep the issue at hand defined!

Re: Moving Home

I didn't intentionally post on another thread, I made the mistake of following a link. I apologise profusely and hope it doesn't make it even more difficult to find an answer to my problem.

Re: Moving Home

@Col38 It's not an issue, and your move from Plusnet to sky, everything up front just makes it easier, the sky Max and pods can be kind off awkward to say Forum wise, i have never used and never will, but everything is tied heavily into the account side with those unit's but when you get time also take a look at your Broadband Shield in your product's via your sky Account! Linked below may help you from the sky Help!

Sky Max change settings link.

and

The way and if you need is 150 dialled on a connected landline. gets you eventually through to a sky Agent, don't need them much but as i also heve my mobile tied to sky it's the same 150 number and i just inform i want to speak on either depending which mobile/BB, but have never not managed to speak to someone!
