Sky router sending back

Hi all I have a sky q router which has been in my out house in its box for a couple years and sky have never asked for it back , are we still sending these back or shall I bin it ?

Q Hubs are obsolete: they cannot support Sky Talk Internet Calls and don't meet revised UK security regulations for routers.

Sky will accept it back for material reclamation, but they aren't going to ask for it.
