Sky max booster pod in bedroom

at back of the house is only getting 30-40mps and down stairs by the router its 700/800+. 

I have connected an enthernet cable to the pod and then to my PC but not any quicker.

'Booster' hardware can only rebroadcast what it receives: if that location is almost out of range then having a booster there cannot help.

These devices (which would be better referred to as 'relays' or 'repeaters') need to be halfway between source (router) and clients.
