Sky max and pod

I used to have complete Wi-Fi with BT
just moved over to sky Max with the pod

I disabled the 5ghz as I have some devices which dont support it and also it worked better with my BT before doing that 

my issue is the WiFi keeps sticking to the pod and when I move around the house and back into the room where the hub is my signal is awful and slow but why do my devices not switch back to the hub? There all connecting to the pod and causing poor slow speeds 

if I put 5ghz back on would this help? Or shall I move the pod closer to the hub? Its currently near the back of house so it extends WiFi into garden

@tomphillips66 You only turn the 5Ghz off until you get the device that struggles to connect connected.

Once you have that then you turn the 5Ghz BACK ON!

always found the 5ghz has issues even on BT

Would you move the pod closer? I just can't have it always connecting to the pod and then when I move to front of house it stays slow and not switching to the main hub

@tomphillips66 No leave the pod where it is until you know the wireless wi-fi is good.

The devices NOT jumping between one to the other is more than likely the device, both negotiate between all the Hub and the Extender, sometimes you just have to disconnect the wireless connection where you are give it 30 seconds and on again and see if the new reconnect is made!

I want nother sky max pod sent out as signal very good on my mobile  now so need nother one for my lounge  as don't get sinal
