Sky broadband 900mb but can't get a TP link to work
hello. i have 900 mb ftp sky
1 white sky booster in middle of property
4 sky minis dotted about
my sons bedroom is directly above router so gets good wifi
but he needs an ethernet for
gaming computer - good ping needed he said
i raised the question in the community and kindly got a response with a good suggestion of getting a TP link AV1000 for £35 from
Argos.
i have tried this and can't get it to connect. if it does it connects for a second and then goes off but only gave me about 8 mb if that.
Does anyone have any another suggestions i can try
i have been told not to put another
3rd party wifi booster up there as it can impact the mesh of the sky minis ? dont know if thats the case. not something i understand fully.
i can move the sky booster up to his room so he can use ethernet port but that does reduce the wifi in his room and the other half of the house. i assume the booster only has a lower capacity for wifi ?
would a different tp link maybe work better ? or does the electic have a low capability and therefore need a different solution
any suggestions would be appreciated. thanks in advance alison

If the powerline plugs are disconnecting this suggests your home has poor electrical wiring or there is a 'noisy' device/appliance that is plugged into the mains.
The only other option for a good gaming experience is direct ethernet.
