Sky box not working with remote

since we recently had to turn of our electricity to do some work our wireless connection has been patchy. However it seemed resolved until this morning when I can't use the remote to turn on the sky television. I checked on the app and it says there is a problem with the WiFi. It is weak. However all the lights in the router are green and WiFi is working in our phones. I have changed the batteries in the remote. What else should I try please

Not helpful I'm afraid.

We have been watching Sky for months, we've been away for four days over Christmas and when we got home Sky is not working.  We turn the television on, press the Home button on the Sky remote and just get a blank screen!
