Sky Wi-Fi not working on PC only
Tearing my hair out!
Got upgraded to Full Fiber last week as it's just been installed in our street, this maybe has nothing to do with the issue.
From yesterday my PC's WiFi connection to my Sky modem has stopped working - it says it's connected and has internet access but am getting nothing working from it bar a small trickle for a couple of seconds maybe every hour.
This is only happening on my desktop PC - the Wi-Fi is great all round the house on everything including my work laptop in exactly the same place, a couple phones and iPads.
So that points to something wrong on the PC, right. Well I also had a TP Link Powerline that I used to use - I'm getting a working signal through that to the PC by both ethernet and Wi-Fi but at a speed of 8mbps rather than 130mbps.
Have tried every solution I can find online, resetting, uninstalling, using command promts. I could be convinced that the Wi-Fi signal isn't strong enough and I need an extender but can't explain how my PC is showing full signal, connected and secured!

Re: Sky Wi-Fi not working on PC only
@GoTeamGaz could be an IP address issue. Check that the PC is network settings for the Sky connection are set to get the address from the. router the gateway address in 192.168.0.1 and the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0. If you are using a fixed IP address ensure it has been reserved on the Sky hub.
If its an old wifi card try changing the new hub's WiFinsecurity level from WPA3-T to WPA2 this can be found in the hub's advanced settings in the My Sky app

Re: Sky Wi-Fi not working on PC only
Thanks for the reply!
Yes, confirmed the gatway address and subnet mask are both already as you suggested. My IP assignment is Automatic (DHCP) - I assume this is not fixed but by no means an expert!
My router wasn't changed, it's the Sky Broadband Hub (the black slim one) that I had since I've had it (installed with Sky Q). It looks like I don't have an option for the router in MySky, but guessing it's because I don't have the type of router where that can be changed.

Re: Sky Wi-Fi not working on PC only
If I'm reading that right, the TP Link Powerline is used in the room where the PC is with a corresponding matching adaptor near the router elsewhere? Is the 1st one hardwired to the router? If hardwiring the PC to the 2nd adaptor still gives the same figures as using WiFi does, then it's definitely pointing the finger at the Powerline adaptors.

Re: Sky Wi-Fi not working on PC only
the powerline gives 10mbps to the pc by ethernet or wi-fi (but I think that limit is because I have it plugged into a multiaddapter and my first floor is a seperate electrical loop from downstairs).
The Sky Hub is giving no connection (but 130mpbs on phone, work laptop, iPad).
I actually decided to just give Sky a call and see what they said. Guy was really helpful and equally puzzled but eventually suggested turning off the setting on my Wi-Fi card to allow it to power down to save energy. A DNS flush and a reset after that and we appear to be in business!
Thanks for the suggestions though! Appreciate the help.
