@SadSimon

Ultrafast requires optical network infrastructure from either Openreach or an altnet provider to be deployed in the area.  ISPs using Openreach aren't permitted to influence the deployment schedule, or get advance notice of areas on the list before this is released to the public.  Sometimes altnet providers will saturate an area with their own publicity prior to digging because they really need a rapid return on investment.
