Hi everyone
I have a single Sky Q box and Sky broadband. The Sky Q is connected via an Ethernet cable to a solwise home plug. I've had no issues with this set up for the last few years. And then I bought a new Sony TV.
I initially set up the TV with wifi - and lost internet connection almost immediately. So I switched the TV wifi off and just used the sky q box. But now the internet connection drops every night. In the morning there's very little wifi as the box isn't working as a mesh, and when I switch the TV on I get a message saying I'm not connected to the internet. Switching the Sky Q box off and then on again seems to fix it - I don't need to switch the router off to get it to start again, (though I have done this too with no difference in effect). It works fine all day until the next morning when I find it has dropped again. It's driving me nuts.
I phoned Sky who said to switch the box from eco mode to 'never' powering down, to bypass issues when it reboots. I did that and it hasn't solved the problem: same issue persists.
Does anyone have any ideas? Again - I only have a sky Q box connected, via Ethernet, and the TV wifi is off.
Thanks so much to you all!

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@SusieJQ if the connection goes down between roughly 2.30am to 6am the cause will be likely to be the Q box going into eco standby mode that turns off its wifi hotspot. Simply go into the box's settings and change the `standby option to Active or None.

Hi Chrisee
thanks so much for replying. I've already done this I'm afraid - the box standby mode is switched to 'none' yet the problem hasnt stopped. Any ideas, anyone?
thanks again!
