Thanks to all those who have contributed to the Sky Max saga. After reading lost of your posts its the stuff you own is not compatible and needs 2.4 to work.
so have decided not to bother, in this day and age and my age in particular, plug and play is what I need ,not hours of changing a hub to work my kit, Ring doorbell, Nest Thermostat and Sonos speakers It seems the USA still operates on 2..4 WiFi
