Sky Max Hub Drops Out

Recently changed to Fibre 300 and upgraded to have the Max Hub as well thinking it would be good to have. Oh my days it's awful! We had the old router in the same place for 3 1/2 years and absolutely no issues ever. This thing has been here 2 weeks and is nothing but trouble, today being the final straw when 2 of us are trying to work from home it keeps dropping out and the light goes red and then it eventually goes back to white but loses connection in the meantime. Watching it tonight it's happened 5-6 times in 2 hours and a total of 15 times during the day. It flashing amber, then red, then after a while green, then sometimes back to white. Spoke to sky said it was a Ethernet cable issue, changed the cable to a new one, same thing. But considering the old hub was there with the cable for 3 1/2 years I think she was guessing!. Offered an engineer visit ....and this was the biggest joke....earliest was 30th January!!! Sky really are outdoing themselves with this rubbish not fit for purpose service. I want my old hub back and to not have to pay for this useless system!

@ally1871 what are the lights onnthe ONT unit showing? If they are green then the issue sounds like a dodgy hub if they are showing red its an issue with the fibre feed. No idea why you are being given such a long timefir an engineer to visit unless you are not on the UK mainland. To try and get you help I am escalating your post to the Sky team who support the forum who should be in touch soon to offer you a private chat session to see what they can suggest. Keep an eye on the forum as if you miss the message just click the chat icon which will be added to the forum pages for you to use.saving a long phone call.

Re: Sky Max Hub Drops Out

Weve just started having the same issue!! sky keep telling us the network team are looking into it, then within an hour we get a text saying "weve looked into your issue and it kooks like its now fixed" and within that hour its turned off and on 3/4 times! absolute joke, weve had new hub and all sorts, seems impossible to get an engineer visit, next time i can get in contact im expecting them to either send someone or i want my contract cancelled and we'll spend our money elsewhere
