Find out more@Nigelynwa Sky use Openreach's fibre network which is on the whole very reliable however this like Virgin's network share backhaul capacity to the exchange so nor every user can get full bandwidth at once. In practice this does not seem to be an issue as few if any users actualy use more than a fraction of the bandwidth. Sky's backhaul connection from the exchange is normally good and fast. According to Ofcom Sky have a far lower complaint level than Virgin.
Couple of things to watch currently Sky will supply you with a hub which offers wifi 5 connection rather than wifi 6 which means you are limited to a maximum of around 700Mb/s over wifi but there are 3 Gigabit ethernet ports. It is more complex to use a third party router on a Sky connection due to the way Sky authenticate conections and tge fact tge Sky hub cannot operate in bridge mode.
