Sky Broadband

I currently have a broadband connection supplied part fibre (FTTC) the last section of this from cabinet to house is served by part copper/part aluminium underground cables,. Over last approx 10 years I have, with various suppliers, used Broadband service, at present its Sky, all through that period I have 'suffered' from Service interruptions, slow speeds. constant service drops and complete loss of service, always attributed, after an engineer visit, to an external issue. FTTP is promised but as the months/years go by this option seems to get further away, my question is 'can I link an old mobile handset to the Sky Router as an option to bypass the main FTTC connection and uilise my Databank allowance for my Broadband service or should I transfer to the EE Mobile Router option and cancel Sky?

There isn't any model of Sky Hub which has such functionality (nor would any other ISP hardware)

Sky Glass 55" (on ethernet) & two Stream Pucks (one ethernet / one WiFi)
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2
