I am moving house and need my broadband set up and running before my move date, in short i want to have an overlap of service at 2 addresses.
My planned move is 1st October 2022, but need broadband at my new address ASAP.

You could order a new account at the new address, but only with different personal details, and then you'd be financially responsible for any remaining minimum contract term on the account at the previous address.
Also note that there's typically a minimum two week lead time for Openreach availability in any case.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@9HZ Sky only sell 18 month contracts for Broadband as they have to recover thr set up,cost Openreach charge them. You can get shorter minimum contracts from other isps but expect an up front charge but we are talking min 12 or 6 months normally..
The easiest way to achieve whay uou want is to buy a new contract for your new address then cancel the old contract on moving BUT you may be charged cancellation charges if you are still in the minimum contract period. An alternstive is to use mobile broadband for the overlap as that does not always have a minimum period znd can be bought on a pay as you go basis so your upfront cost is for the router but they can be useful for any periods when your new fixed broadband is out of action
