Service checker is faulty/broken

I've suspected this for a while as I won't have a connection to my wifi, internet completely down, and service checker says it's fine. I just unplugged my wifi, completely switched off, and it says my wifi is connected and fine. This feels illegal or at least skirting consumer rights. **bleep** is going on at sky?

@NFra

The service checker doesn't necessarily disclose a problem immediately and there can be up to an hours delay before it picks up a lost connection which is why, on here, we tend to advise on trying it again later.

Re: Service checker is faulty/broken

@NFra The software check does not work the way that you think it does, what do you see if anything when you look at the sky Hub when it is in the NON working condition for you, see from the help link below!

This link below provides information about the coloured lights on the various hubs that can help to see what is going on! If the system is also Full Fibre then the lights on the OR/CF ONT also require to be looked at!
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/hub-lights-explained-start

then if nothing or a condition is shown the next steps are also below this point.

Try running the line test here to see if any faults are found:
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/broadband-diagnostic-start

You can also run the test via the MySky app on a mobile data connection.

Once completed, if it reports back that all is good click on 'broadband' to run an updated test. If you get amber or red you need to follow the on-screen instructions.

If you’re still having problems you may need to call Sky to report it. Dial 150 free from your Sky Talk landline (if it’s still working).
