I curently have Sky Broadband and Sky talk though have no need for it. Wondering if SKY can migrate and what's their plans for PSTN switch off

In 2015 when pstn switches off everyone on an fttc vdsl line will no doubt be migrated to sogea where the telephone itself plugs into the hub. As with standard landline phones you will be allocated a phone number . If you don't use a phone then the option is to select sky pay as you talk tariff.

I think the line has to be migrated, but I'll go with what you say, meaning 2025 of course, I have no delorean here

When 2025 was announced that was in a pre covid world. No doubt the media will be keeping everyone updated if time frames change 👍

Sky provisions SOGEA and a Sky Broadband Hub (with a 'VOIP' port) on all new orders wherever SOGEA service is available at the exchange. What they are going to do about the millions of non-VOIP Q Hub users is unclear, just as is the case with all the other ISPs: personally I think there's every chance the (pre-pandemic) 2025 target will slip.
