Router not sent prior to activation day

I had my CityFibre engineer turn up today to install Sky fibre. Issue I have is the router has not been sent. To compound the issue, Sky activated the connection and turned off my old service this morning, meaning we now have no service at all until the router turns up (hopefully later this week).

Engineer told me it's because people are ordering fibre, discovering a new cable has to be run when CF turn up and then delay sending the routers back, hence Sky now sending them on activation. Seems a known issue having spoken to Sky earlier. Just wondering if I am due compensation given I am paying for the service from today, but won't have any service until Weds at best and we are a household of two people working from home full time.

Thanks

@StevenCP

Auto compensation for delayed installation is explained in this link. It is applied 30 days after the installation is completed as a credit on your Sky Broadband account.

It's worth clarifying that Sky broadband discussed here is a domestic service and whilst Sky are apparently fine with its customers working from home using it for this purpose they won't receive any additional or quicker support.
