Replacing SkyQ hub

Sky have advised me that Sky Q hub will not be receiving security and other updates by end of year so advised me to replace it. Going on to website the only offer is for a Sky max  hub for another £4 a month but I understand there is a free option to a Sky Broadband hub.  How do I get this as I don't want to pay an extra £ 4 as Sky should be replacing obsolete kit free of charge

You need to speak directly to Sky @Oscarcornwall 
If you need to contact them you need to persevere by phone.

If they sent you an email about this then you can safely use the link in it to order the replacement hub. If it was a letter that you were sent then you would need to cll Sky to get this hub as they should be able to order it for you.
