Replacing Sky Router with ASUS RT-AX58U FTTP

Hi community,

We have recently had an upgrade to our broadband we now have Sky Ultrafast+ FTTP.

Our set up is as follows: -

Sky Router ground floor next to front door
Sky Q 2TB Box ground floor

Sky Q Mini Box x 4 (2 x ground floor, 1 x first floor and 1 x second floor)

We do not have anything physically cabled so all working wirelessly. It is not possible to cable anything.

Our WiFi coverage and connection is terrible and I am currently unable to work in the loft due to poor coverage, understandable I know with current location. After doing some reading I have purchased the following router to replace the Sky router: -

ASUS RT-AX58U

Please could someone walk me through in a very detailed step by step guide how to switch the Sky router for the ASUS one?

Following this can you also advise me which product to buy that can be added to the ASUS router to create a mesh and ensure property wide WiFi coverage.

Again, cables are not an option so the solution has to be wireless ensuring Sky Q continues to work and WiFi coverage is massively improved.

Thanks a lot in advance, much appreciated.

Hi,

I'm now in the same position as you - need to understand how to replace SKY Fibre router with ASAU ZenWiFi XT9 Mesh.

Were you able to replace your SKY Fibre router with ASUS RT-AX58U?

Can you share the instructions with me?

Thanks,
