Re arranged open reach appointment

After being thanked by Openreach for confirming my appointment, I find out on the day I'm expecting them that they moved my appointment (3 days earlier) by 3 weeks without notifying me.

Would be nice if I had be told so I didn't have to take a day holiday from work, and it would have also been nice to have been asked what day can I take another day holiday from  work before putting a different day in.

Seems sky passes the buck to Openreach, whom i have no contact details for and have haven't bothered to contact me.

Can sky take ownership of the issue and chase them up so I know what is going to happen?

🤷🏻‍♂️

Re: Re arranged open reach appointment

I had also taken the day off work, however I am self employed and have lost money due to this. My engineer was a no show, without nay notice. Sky also informed me its not their fault but open reach. Not taking any responsibility for it at all. I have been informed that as they charge the customer £25 for missed or last minute appointments changes I am also entitled to the same reimbursement for wasted time.

Re: Re arranged open reach appointment

Mine is the same openreach installed the cable and ran it to my wall but never bothered with coming to install the box it needs inside the house when they were out about 3 weeks ago and now I've to wait an extra month to get broadband because open reach never bothered to finish the job
