Re: No internet

@SkybrokemyBB- When you factory reset the hub, hold the reset button in, watch the lights on the front off the hub, when you see the lights change let the reset button go! After 5 mins it will reboot back to new condition!

Just reset mine, takes about 20 seconds hold, power light goes red, after about the 20 seconds it's a flas green then you can let it go!, Going to look now what the wanoe is like when it reboots!

Re: No internet

I've done that but no change, are we running out of options?

Re: No internet

@SkybrokemyBB- Rebooted the hub and the WANoE went back to Auto, 100% held button in at least the 20 seconds, got a double flash green on the power light let it go and when it booted up all the values where back at factory settings!

If the button is NOT held in long enough hub just restart's and keeps the settings!

Re: No internet

Removed the lead from the ONT and reset the HUB for 20: seconds, the power light changed from red to green. Reset Router mode, this time it had reverted to auto, reset it to WANoE. Reconnected the ONT box, lights reverted back to previous and remain so.

Re: No internet

Hi Jim, thanks for your efforts, I assume, like SKY we have reached an impasse?

They concede they don't have the knowledge and/or inclination to find a solution which I find incredulous!

Basically they removed my working internet 4 weeks ago and have left me without internet for 4 weeks. Now they are walking away, they won't even reinstate the previous working system!! Love to know your thoughts as to where the fault lays. Totally disappointed with SKY. When you look on Trust Pilot review site, their Broadband gets a score of 1.3. I'm shocked that it's that high.

Re: No internet

@SkybrokemyBB- This is the most bizarre installation that there ever was, CF is just so new on the sky side but it is not rocket science, the ONT is looking 100% good and all green lights as you would expect, the SR203 was struggling to connect as it could not make it's mind up when it went to connect hence NO LIT internet light and was on Auto so trying to go out a VDSL copper but selecting it to WANoE made it go 100% out that Ethernet Port which it DID but still was not able to connect and went RED. The only factor that stands out is you have the XGS-PON version off the Nokia so it has way higher speed profile and will also have a lot Faster Ethernet port on it, but that should not matter to the sky Hub in the slightest and they should negotiate to the 1Gb/s port speed.

There is NO way that multiple sky SR203 hubs are all faulty, they are by far the easiest for a pure sky Connection to that ONT as you the user have nothing to worry about, plug it in let it connect and off it goes. What sky are doing is wrong they should NOT throw the hands up in the air and say that's it sorry you have an issue and we are deadlocked so leave and go elsewhere. You are kind off stuck now, me i would be connecting the laptop with an Ethernet cable direct on the ONT and seeing what is going on connection wise, do you feel that is worth a try let me know the other option is just to get your own Asus router and connect it up but it starts to cost you and although you will have some compensation eventually from sky, question CF Engineers when testing the CF ONT what did the connect to check and say ONT is good, we have let sky know now, they do have to provision the ONT correctly that is why they need to have all the details from CF to do it!

Re: No internet

@SkybrokemyBB- As a seperate entry, there is a reset on that ONT, it is between your Yellow Ethernet connected cable and the Power connection plug, same idea as the sky Hub reset, NO idea how long it has to be held in so similar press with a paper clip watch the lights on it. Will link the wiki page that shows where it is. Use the search below and you will see some images, little hole is the reset button!

CF Nokia XGS-PON ONT - Search

Have sent you a PM, so envelope will allow you to read and see it! Jim

Re: No internet

I have made initial arrangements to have Vodafone broadband fitted, this won't happen until 07 October, so I have some time and are willing to try anything in the meantime.

The CF Engineers have been very responsive, I have had 4 separate teams at my house who have spent hours looking into it. They all come to the same conclusion, that their installation is correct. They appear to carry a tester that resembles a multi meter (don't think it is). They point to the readings and lights all being correct. Despite this they even replaced the ONT out of frustration, but still no change. I keep receiving contradictory information from SKY above "provisioning". My guess is, this hasn't been done correctly or there is a mismatch between the router and the ONT box. And to add salt into the wounds, they are refusing to reinstate the original set up!! And they've generously offered not to charge me for this month!!!!!

Anything you can suggest would be welcomed.

Re: No internet

@SkybrokemyBB- If sky are going to do as they have said and no further action from there end, give you a deadlock letter then it really just sounds that they are all our off idea's now. Switch your BB over to Vodafone, let them setup and provision you on there system, a call to CF should give you a better idea, let vodafone do all through the OTS and your hard part is all done, Fibree is installed, CF say the issue is all sky's and sky just cannot make it work.

Only thing not much experience on the CF side with the Forum and other one went well couple months back that i had some back/forth with forum wise, but the ONT was NOT the XGS-PON version that you have!

As you have Sky Q and are happy and keeping all that just now, that is smart move, and keeps your sky window open and account up so they should have NO issues with the compensation letting you go penalty free for the BB contract, but just do keep any eye that it is all going to work out that way! Speak shortly! Jim....
