Query about boardband upgrade activation
Hello,
I am considering upgrading from Superfast boardband to Ultrafast and am concerned my superfast connection may be removed prior to the activation date of the Ultrafast plan as I would require a Sky technician to install the new hardware and I cannot find this information anywhere on the Sky forum or their website.
Would very much appreciate any information

Re: Query about boardband upgrade activation
@xskylar If you are already with Sky then your superfast will not be disconnected till the ONT is activated and data is flowing and you move from using a dsl cable to a filter or filtered faceplate to connect to the ONT that is fitted by the engineer on the day.
If you have found this solution helpful please tick this as the answer.

Re: Query about boardband upgrade activation
@xskylar in the vast majority of cases things go as @Highlinder says but the odd few are different. There are a few cases where the copper cable has to be used to pull through the fibre suuply and in some Openreach make a mistake and dsconnect early so nobody can 100% guarantee you wont have any disruption.
