Port forwarding not working ?

Hi there,

 

I have a DNS domain name that should be being resolved to my external IP address.

 

I have used the MySky app to setup port forwarding of the 2 ports I need to my internal IP address. When I use my app to connect to this internal to my network this all works, but when I go external it does not connect.

 

Now, I cannot find anywhere to find any debug if I'm even resolving / hitting this at all ??

 

I've called tech support and they clearly didn't understand anything I was talking about as they went away to research this and came bac 2 hours later telling me that they'd need to book an engineer appointment ?

 

Any ideas on how I can trace this ?  I had this all working before when I was on straight DSL. I've not been able to get this working once I moved onto full fibre.

@JRoyD What DDNS server are you using and did you set that up. White or Black sky Hub.

Using   https://www.noip.com/  I have their client running on an internal machine updating the external IP address.

 

It's the White Max hub that I have.

@JRoyD Is the client resolving the IP correctly. www.whatismyipaddress.com to find the Hub IP.

I can see that my client is registering the WAN IP address to the DNS service and the router is using MAP-T at 1:1

@JRoyD You said that already, that was not the question asked, are you new to sky then with ONLY a Max Hub!

I had sky FTTC for years on an Sky Q box and then migrated to Sky full Fibre with the Sky Max box last year. I had port forwarding working fine on the old sky FTTC solution, but now it doesn't work on the new Sky full fibre. But I can't see any debug anywhere to help me.

@JRoyD There is not any debug for checking, you will have to use external tools to see what and where the connection is falling down!

You can post your PF rules up and someone will look at that! Internal you said was fine so you are just not getting through the Max firewall with the DDNS IP lookup.
